Research Overview
My research focuses on the cognitive processes of creativity, specifically those that occur early in the process (problem identification and construction) and late in the process (idea evaluation and idea choice). I study these processes at the individual level, focusing on the factors that facilitate effective application of these processes. Additionally, I study these processes at the team level. At the team level my research focuses on how individual level processes get aggregated to a team level process, and how social processes in teams (such as communication or psychological safety) influence the effectiveness of the processes and resulting creativity.
